More than a year now since tumultuous political change in Afghanistan, the Afghan crisis continues to be one of the biggest humanitarian crises our world has faced. Conflict, violence, chronic poverty, coupled with natural disasters have forced more than 6 million people to be displaced, both within Afghanistan and in other countries. Women and young girls are among those most affected.

To implement work around the world, the Islamic Relief global family has field offices (sometimes, multiple offices in the same country) based on need and location. In addition to the field offices, independent Islamic Relief affiliates operate in 16 countries along with the United States.
