Assalamualakum, dear family and friends, I hope you all are having a blessed Ramadan! This Ramadan I am trying to focus on helping the people who don't have access to clean water and I'm hoping that you could help me in this mission.
Help provide clean water to those in need
While we break our fast with refreshing cool water and juicy dates, some people around the world don't even have clean water. Did you know that:
1 in 3 people don't have access to clean safe drinking water. (who.int)
More people die from unsafe water than from all forms of violence, including war. (lifewater.org)
In sub-Saharan Africa, women and girls spend an estimated 40 billion hours a year collecting water. (lifewater.org)
It is our duty in the month of Ramadan to help those in need.
Sa’d ibn Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”
